MATERIALS

  • 80 cm of your color choice Jersey fabric (standard width: 140 cm)
  • Thread of same color

MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES

  • Standard foot
  • An elna coverlock machine which is able to sew a coverstitch (e.g elna 845), or an elna overlock machine, such as eXtend 664, 664PRO or 864air and an elna coverstitch machine, such as eXtend easycover or covermax.

Sewing time: Around 2 hours

Size: 40-42

INSTRUCTIONS

1.

After ironing the fabric, place on it the pattern that you had previously cut out.

Cut the fabric with a seam allowance of 2 cm for the size 40-42 or without seam allowance if you want a smaller size.

You can adjust the size by comparing the width with your own measurements and if necessary remove the sides, as indicated by the blue arrows in the figure.

With a Safety 4-thread stitch of the overlock or coverlock machine, sew together the two sides and the shoulders. Fold the hem for the bottom by 2-3 cm and for the neckhole and armhole by 1 cm. Iron before placing some pins.

Sew the hems with the coverstich of your elna coverlock or coverstitch machine to nicely finish your top. You can also use the 3-thread overlock stitch of your overlock machine.
